Red Apple owes its large export power to a percentage of its strawberry exports, as it exports large quantities of strawberries annually. The company’s main strawberry export countries are Russia, Romania, and Lithuania.

Strawberry is a world-wide favourite fruit grown for its wonderful fruit. There are many types of strawberries in several parts of the world. In Greece, the cultivation of strawberries is quite widespread, while most of the domestic production is exported.

The largest production of strawberries in Greece takes place in the Peloponnese, in the prefectures of Achaia, Messenia, and Laconia, from where the company gets the strawberries for its exports.

The packaging takes place during the harvest due to the sensitive nature of the fruit, so it is customary to cultivate them as close as possible to the general marketing and consumption centres, so that as soon as they are harvested, it is easy and quick to transfer them for pre-cooling in special facilities of the company at each respective place of production for the purpose of transporting them abroad.
